Copy the ENTIRE code given in the textbox next to the icon of your choice, and paste it at the very bottom of your "About Me" section. You may need to disable your old Online Now icon. To do so, go to "Home", then "Account Settings", then "Privacy Settings" and choose the option "Hide Online Now Icon".

The code for every icon includes a small link image back to this site. Due to copyright laws, you may NOT remove, hide, or disable the link or the image. You may, however, move the link image to a different location on your profile page. The code given places the link image at the top of your profile page on the far left opposite the MySpace advertisement, so it should not interfere with your layout unless you have a div layout. In that case, it may possibly scover up a small section of a graphic you might have in that space, and therefore, you may wish to move it to another location on your profile page.
